United States Air Force (USAF) District Planning is a process that provides a consistent and detailed fence-to-fence plan for an entire installation. We worked closely with Vance Air Force Base (AFB) to develop District Plans for their Training, Community, and Industrial Districts. In accordance with the DAF District Planning Playbook, MAKERS summarized the existing conditions for each district, documented capability gaps, interviewed stakeholders, and developed planning actions to resolve shortfalls. Vance AFB leadership and other stakeholders collaborated with MAKERS during a week-long charrette for each district, which led to the development of both Status Quo and Preferred Alternatives.
