We are leading a multi-phase process to establish a citywide strategy for space planning, capital investment, leasing decisions, and property acquisition and divestment that supports efficient, resilient, and equitable service delivery to city residents. In Phase 1, we identified the major strategic issues and facilities needs of emergency responders, public works crews, administrative staff, customer service functions, and city leadership through an engagement strategy that combined interviews, facility tours, and workshops. In Phases 2 and 3, we are evaluating potential facilities solutions, developing a consensus-based prioritized citywide investment plan and phasing strategy, and providing a flexible tool that will help the City adapt the plan recommendations to changing conditions and opportunities as they arise.
