As a Veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, Travis brings firsthand understanding of the needs and challenges faced by service members and their families to MAKERS’ federal planning team. As an E-3 Seaman/Fireman, Travis served aboard the USCGC Stratton for two years followed by two years as an E-4 Machinery Technician Third Class Petty Officer, Travis served at Heavy Weather Coast Guard Station Neah Bay conducting Search and Rescue operations. His travels and experiences during service sparked his interest in how communities, cultures, and government facilities emerge and evolve. With a background in infrastructural and residential project management, Travis combines development experience with a deep commitment to advancing equity and environmental quality by improving the lives of those who serve.
