Highly dynamic, dedicated and organized, Queenie applies her strong urban design experience to her projects at MAKERS. With a passion for creating equitable and sustainable urban environments and space, she brings forth a conscious approach in helping communities envision goals and practical planning narratives. She is skilled in urban research, graphic design, data analysis, GIS, cartography, and public engagement.

While studying urban design at the University of Washington, Queenie worked on projects relating to placemaking and affordable housing, as well as waterfront, park, and open space revitalization. She believes that amplifying and centering community voices are the foundations which foster healthier, happier communities.

What’s the most inspiring part of your job? To be part of the growing movement of aiding cities to become more sustainable and equitable for all.

What’s one thing on your bucket list? One of the places I’d like to travel to is Iceland to see the beautiful landscapes and to catch a glimpse of the northern lights.

What are you happiest doing when you’re not working? I enjoy cooking and baking and trying out new recipes. I like to challenge myself by making everything from scratch.
