A planned transit center that will bring new bus rapid transit service to Renton was the catalyst for the Rainier/Grady Junction Subarea Plan. We identified priorities and developed alternatives for how the area could redevelop and gathered feedback from stakeholders and the development community at key checkpoints in the planning process. The result is a concept vision for the subarea that creates a new pedestrian-oriented mixed-use neighborhood with strong multimodal connections, new commercial opportunities and open spaces to increase livability.
