Jaclyn McDowell, Assoc. AIA, LEED Green AssociateAssociate 1 - Planner

    Jaclyn joins MAKERS as a member of the facility planning team where she will use her comprehensive skills in community development, design, analytics and creativity. Graduating from the University of Idaho with her Bachelor of Science in Architecture, Jaclyn received the opportunity to participate in the Architecture Rome Program where she traveled abroad and fell in love with urban design. Jaclyn continued her education to receive her Master of Architecture from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee where she worked in conjunction with different design firms and stakeholders to reach out to communities and work with them on design and development; along with participating in a study abroad to Havana, Cuba to research urban design and neighborhood development focusing on urban farming and sustainability. After graduate school, Jaclyn worked as an architectural designer for 3 years for an architecture firm where she was on a major retail project in Manhattan, New York that prioritized historical preservation and reuse.

    In Jaclyn’s free time, she enjoys dancing, hiking, playing games, reading, traveling and a variety of other expansive interests.
