As part of a 20-year master plan for Lake Wilderness Park, MAKERS assessed the condition of all park buildings, including Lake Wilderness Lodge, a designated historic building that won a national award for design excellence in 1950. The lodge is currently used as a convention and events center. Part of MAKERS’ task was to make recommendations for its renovation and continued use.

The second phase of this project was the development of bid documents for the total $1 million interior renovation of the lodge. The renovations were completed in the fall of 2009.
