We developed the Facilities Strategic Management Plan to provide guidance on how to operate, maintain, and upgrade City of Redmond facilities. Through the unique combination of long-term strategic planning and near-term maintenance and operations planning, the plan is designed to address the needs of a rapidly growing city with many facilities that are undersized, have significant deferred maintenance, and are in need of substantial reinvestment or replacement. Our plan’s recommendations make best use of Redmond’s capital and maintenance funding in accordance with stakeholder priorities and the City’s present and future needs.
Outcomes
- City funded two predesign projects and upgrades to six facilities per plan recommendations within a year of plan adoption
- Two additional maintenance FTEs hired in support of maintenance needs
