Facility Planner and Data Coordinator


We are currently seeking team members to support our facility planning projects with the US Navy and Marine Corps, including facility audits and assessments. These audits require team members to document utilization, identify deficiencies, and collect and compile a variety of data elements related to each facility. The successful candidate MUST be organized, resourceful, and detail oriented. This is a contract position through September 2017 with potential to become a full time position based on future workload and job performance.

Responsibilities Include

  • Updating facility floor plans to illustrate utilization.
  • Filling in checklists based on findings from field investigations.
  • Compiling multiple 1-5 page documents into a single pdf.
  • Using historic aerial imagery to determine when facilities were constructed.
  • Reviewing government facility records to determine when facilities were constructed and how much the government paid.
  • Must work well with teams in a fast paced environment.
  • Moderate proficiency in MS Office and in particular Excel. Basic experience with Adobe Creative Suite and AutoCAD is desirable.

Facility Planner and Master Planner/Graphics Support


Clear and compelling visualizations are an important component of our process. We are seeking a planner with outstanding graphic skills to support our facility planning projects. Projects may include facility use and condition analysis; projection of future needs and programming; alternative development and scenario evaluation; campus master planning; strategic facility planning; and urban design.

Background experience or degree in planning, architecture, or landscape architecture is preferred. All candidates must demonstrate strong graphic skills through application materials. This position will be responsible for project support, data organization and presentation, concept generation, graphic illustrations (diagrams, facility layout plans, site plans, etc.) graphic design of reports/studies and presentation materials, and document production.

High level of proficiency with MS Office and Adobe Creative suite (primarily InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, though Dreamweaver, etc. skills a plus) is required for this position. Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and 3D modeling/rendering (SketchUp or Rhino) is preferred. Strong hand graphic skills a plus. Understanding of basic file management practices and experience working in a professional design office environment is required.
Some travel may be required.

1-2 years of experience preferred. Entry level candidates that can demonstrate a strong understanding of practices typical of a professional design office will also be considered. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
